Kids Art Camp

Kids love to create, and kids of all ages will have so much fun with this art summer camp!

Kids will get to learn about famous artists and make art inspired by them, as well as explore different art mediums and methods to unlock their own creativity!

What is an art cart?

An art cart for kids is a mobile and organized creative station designed to inspire and facilitate artistic expression. Typically equipped with an assortment of colorful and kid-friendly art supplies, the cart is compact and easy to move around, allowing kids to explore their imagination in various spaces. Wheels are great!

It may include items such as markers, crayons, colored pencils, paints, paper, glue, scissors, and other craft materials. The cart often features compartments or trays to keep the supplies neatly organized, making it convenient for young artists to access and put away their tools.

Art Activities for Kids

Summer can be a busy time, so we didn’t add any projects that will take a ton of time or prep to make these activities possible. Most of these can be done quickly, with variations, reflection, and questions extending the activity as you have time to do so. However, if you have the time, feel free to linger and enjoy the activities too!

Teaching Kids with AArt

Art projects are for so much more than just a break from “regular” school work. Allowing kids to tap into their creative side by teaching them new methods of art actually engages a different part of their brain than core subjects.

Kids who participate in this summer art camp will learn about several famous artists and create projects inspired by them. They will get to experiment with different art mediums and methods, and even get to create art with unorthodox materials.

Art projects also help with color coordination, fine motor skills, patterns, scissor skills, and develop independence as well! Combining art and science with STEAM projects, is one of our favorite ways to learn!

ICE CREAM ART

Make a gorgeous portrait inspired by Frida Kahlo that’s perfect for art summer camp!

POLLOCK FISH ART

Learn about famous artist, Jackson Pollock, and his own method of “action painting” and abstract art!

ICE CUBE ART

Use ice cubes and food coloring to make the most amazing art pieces that double as the perfect way to cool down at art summer camp!

PISTOL PAINTING

Use water guns and some colored water to make these amazing works of art! Kids have a blast making these and they’re a great summer art project!

BUBBLE PAINTING

Another fun activity is bubble art! These turn out so colorful and fun when they’re finished and bubbles are fun for kids of any age!

Use fly swatters to make these colorful works of art outside! They’re messy, but kids have so much fun with these!

The world is your paintbrush – or it can be with this project! Find and collect items from nature and then use them to create a masterpiece! Kids love searching and experimenting with this nature art project!
